The HRIS PeopleSoft  Project  team from Wellington City Council have used allfields more than once for their HRIS and self service training, firstly,  for the implementation of their Upgrade to PeopleSoft 8.9 HRIS and more recently for Wellington City Council's Online Leave project.  

For allfields to provide Wellington City Council with the required training package it was quite clear from the outset that arranging the training sessions  in a way that would allow as many as possible to be trained, within a reasonable timeframe, with minimum disruption to everyday business would require a tool to manage the training administration.

This coupled with the fact that a training approach had to be developed and delivered meant Allfields had been given the opportunity to show Wellington City Council once again why they had chosen allfields.

Allfields developed an on-line administration tool that enabled Wellington City Council staff to easily track all Online Leave training activities .  As Wellington City Council’s requirements changed, the tool was enhanced to meet those requirements.  The Online tool allowed for self enrolment,  notification and reminders of pending training sessions to be automatically sent to individuals, as well as comprehensive reporting.

The customised training package  was developed and delivered to the expected learning outcome requirements,  to a range of learner abilities, needs, and styles.

"In our experience in a project lifecycle the training is always the last task and when trying to undertake it yourselves it is resource hungry and your own functional experts are not always the best trainers!! Getting a third party to review and input into it is a much better option, that’s why using Allfields for us took away that pressure and let the functional resources get on with testing the system and getting it right."
